Course Goal / Objective

Addressing cancer biology information with a Translational Medicine perspective and developing new ideas

Course Content

Students learn the relationship of cancer with the microenvironment, escape mechanisms from the immune system and hypoxic conditions, the behavior of cancer stem cells, and comprehend the mechanisms of resistance to treatment. By examining the current literature in cancer biology, he/she understands how the effects of a potential drug molecule that can be used in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer are examined and prepares a project outline by developing a research question.
