Course Goal / Objective
This course focuses on advanced tennis techniques. Strokes such as forehand, backhand, serve, volley, spike and correction in tournament players are studied. It also addresses motivation, concentration, emotional control, thought and behavior management, mental performance for players. How tournament players can be more effective in communicating with their parents. Another topic of the course is court movement cycle, moving on the court and movement exercises. Conditioning and training principles appropriate to the physical needs of tennis; elements such as warm-up, cool-down, endurance, speed, strength, flexibility, coordination and balance are discussed. Physical conditioning program and circular training methods are also explained. Fitness assessment in tennis. General strategy and tactics for singles and doubles, tournament play and mentality are also covered.
Course Content
This course aims to develop advanced hitting techniques, mental strategies and physical conditioning for tennis players. In addition to hitting techniques such as forehand, backhand, serve, volley, spike, it also addresses the motivation, concentration and emotional control of tournament players. It also provides information on communicating with players' parents, court movement cycle, physical conditioning programs, warm-up-cool-down, endurance, speed, strength, flexibility and balance. There is also a focus on strategy, tactics and tournament mentality for singles and doubles. This course aims to improve players' technical and mental performance in tournaments.
