Course Goal / Objective
It aims to provide information about chemotherapeutic drug design, mechanisms of action, structure-activity relationships, metabolism and pharmacological uses.
Course Content
Within the scope of this course, the formula, nomenclature, general physico-chemical properties, general synthesis schemes, metabolite chemistry, the relationship between the structure of the drug active substance and the biological effect, and briefly the places of use in treatment are examined. Under this general heading; chemotherapy, chemotherapeutics, antibacterial drugs, antimycobacterial drugs, sulfonamides, quinolones, antibiotics, antifungal drugs, antiviral drugs, anticancer drugs, antiprotozoal drugs, anthelmintic drugs and other drug groups are explained.
