Course Goal / Objective

This course aims to comprehensively support students in their preparation for moot court competitions. Participants will deepen their legal research skills, produce written and oral legal arguments, master effective legal document drafting, formulate case strategies, and hone their oral advocacy skills. Additionally, by working in various fields of national and international law, they will enhance their proficiency in legal English and develop their understanding of the complexities of international law. Moreover, this course will provide students with practical experiences to instil confidence in the practical application of law and effective presentation of legal arguments, preparing them for success in competition environments.

Course Content

This course will provide support to participants in their preparation for moot court competitions by imparting a general understanding of the importance and purpose of such competitions. It will facilitate the examination and sharing of English-language resources related to moot court scenarios. Additionally, in preparation for the written phase, students will prepare case summaries and draft pleadings for the litigation process. During the oral presentation phase, students will be taught oral presentation techniques and strategies, and practical exercises will be conducted to ensure effective delivery of arguments. Revision of pleadings and practical exercises related to oral presentations will be conducted during the practice phase. Furthermore, students will receive feedback throughout the competition process to identify areas for improvement.
