Course Goal / Objective
It is aimed to understand how motherhood is seen as a burden in gaining women rights and freedoms and how seeing motherhood as supreme creates difficulties for them.

LO01 | In our legal system, a specific group of mothers' rights are somehow protected by law. These are well educated mothers who have a regular and permanent job. However, particuarly housewives whose domestic labour is ignored and some other groups of mothers like single mothers, mothers who have a disabled child/children, immigrant mothers and elderly mothers who have not any social security and dependent to their children's mercy have not any legal insurance for the protection of their rights. It is aimed to discuss what can be done in order to protect those mothers's rights. |
