Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to develop students' skills in identifying main ideas in academic texts, explaining text organization, making sense of new vocabulary in context and evaluating intertextual relationships using effective reading strategies.

Course Content

The course is structured to develop academic reading skills. Students analyze academic texts organized around specific topics, identify main ideas and supporting details in the texts. They also work on expanding vocabulary, applying reading strategies and making connections between texts. Each unit is supported by a variety of activities including reading strategies, vocabulary exercises, discussions and writing tasks.
