Course Goal / Objective

To enable students to understand how to analyze short stories and novels and to prepare activities and lesson plans by using the literary terms they have learned

Course Content

Review of literary terms such as point of view, theme and metaphor; definition and analysis of new terms such as legend and parody; analysis of selected stories and novel excerpts through literary terms; preparation of activities and/or lesson plans based on stories and novel excerpts and in-class applications.

There is no prerequisite for this course.

The End of the Party/Graham Greene ), answering the related questions, receiving students' comments on the story, analysing literary terms embedded in the story.
