Course Goal / Objective

This course aims to provide students with a clear understanding of media and literacy concepts, equipping them with the skills to critically analyze media content and its societal effects. Students will explore the power of language in media, develop practical media literacy skills, and investigate the connection between media and language teaching. They will also learn to design effective lesson plans incorporating authentic media.

Course Content

The concepts of media, literacy, media literacy, critical media analysis, information disorder, media influence and bias, media representation, media literacy in English Language Teaching, and using media in language teaching.
