Course Goal / Objective
To enable students to analyze the role of language in social power dynamics; to evaluate the use of language in media, advertising, and political communication through critical discourse analysis; and to apply language analysis skills to promote clearer communication in professional and personal contexts.
Course Content
This course addresses the role of language as a tool of power and influence in media, advertising, and political communication. It aims to analyze how language shapes perceptions and social interactions by examining techniques such as metaphor, deception, and pronoun usage.
