Course Goal / Objective
To enable students to comprehend literary texts (poetry and drama) and to use the required. To provide the necessary knowledge and equipment about English Language, Literature, Culture and History. terms to analyze poetry and drama. To enable students to read poetry and drama in detail and to comment on the texts. To raise individuals who are aware of the role played by language and culture in the production, dissemination and consumption of all kinds of texts and who are sensitive in their approach to humanitarian issues and ethical problems.
Course Content
In this course, poems and examples from drama are analyzed in order to see what makes a poem or drama different from the other literary genres by focusing on the figures of speech prominent in those texts.

There is no prerequisite for this course.
