Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is for students of the architecture department; It is to provide the knowledge and skills to design the building envelope in accordance with the physical elements, to define the standards and regulations regarding the control of the built environment, to ensure spatial comfort with noise / acoustic and lighting controls, to define / analyze the details of the lighting and noise control insulation materials.
Course Content
Within the scope of this course, sound and its effects in indoor and outdoor environments, physical explanations about sound, various building components exposed to air and impact sound and the precautions to be taken on them, spatial relations and arrangements in terms of sound in various buildings, structures where acoustic measures should be taken and ECO calculation to be made to make the sound produced in the space understandable, general information about lighting and natural/artificial lighting, relationship between architectural lighting design, characteristics of artificial light sources, lighting design in computer environment, necessary precautions to be taken regarding artificial lighting in the immediate surroundings of the building and in the external environment, Information is included on the use of advanced daylight systems in natural lighting design.
