Course Goal / Objective
To provide a scientific and impartial perspective on the birth and historical development of Alevism Bektashism.
Course Content
The content of Alevism-Bektashism concepts; The relationship between Alevism and Bektashism; Status of Alevism-Bektashism in terms of the History of Islamic Sects; Systematic-theological dimension, written literature dimension, social dimension and fiqh and practical dimension; Different sectarian elements in Alevi-Bektashi sources; Hac-ı Bektaş Veli and his ideas; Written sources of Alevi-Bektashi tradition; Historical course and current situation of Alevism-Bektashism; Alevi-Bektashism's creed and practical views on the field, the foundations of Ehl-i Beyt love; The elements that unite the Alevi-Sunni understanding of religion and the culture of living together will be covered.
