Course Goal / Objective
To be able to comprehend the formation and physical properties of sound. To be able to comprehend the relationship between material and sound. To be able to understand that products for sound and sound production can be created from different materials. To be able to observe and comprehend the effects of factors such as design, thickness and firing on sound production of ceramic materials. To be able to comprehend that different types and sizes of musical instruments can be made from ceramic materials.
Course Content
Introducing sound and its physical properties. Introducing the relationship of the material with sound. Introducing the relationship between sound and stylistic spaces formed during the transformation of material into a product. To comprehend how the sizes, thicknesses and shape differences of different materials are reflected in the sound. To be able to create sound and sound-oriented products from different types of materials. Introduction of musical instruments made of ceramic materials. Musical instrument design from ceramic materials.
