Course Goal / Objective
The course aims to enhance problem-solving and analytical thinking skillsBy focusing on linear programming, duality, transportation models, and various solution techniques.
Course Content
The course content covers the history of operations research, examining the processes of mathematical model formulation. An introduction to linear programming is provided, focusing on solving linear programming problems using graphical and simplex methods. The concept of duality is explained, and its relationship with linear programming is evaluated. Within the scope of transportation models, the stepping-stone method and the multiplier method are analyzed to optimize transportation problems and decision-making processes.
