Course Goal / Objective

It is aimed to educate students on the digestive systems of farm animals, the structure of the nutrients they consume, feeds and nutrient requirements.

Course Content

Digestive system of farm animals, digestive juices; importance, digestion and absorption of essential nutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals and water); identification and digestibility of feeds; nutritional value of nutrients; ration preparation techniques are evaluated.

There are no prerequisites required to take the course.
