Course Goal / Objective

The terminology of underwater archeology, its fields of study, its history, its beginnings in Turkey, ancient shipwrecks, ancient ship typology and underwater excavations and surface surveys carried out today constitute the purpose of this course.

Course Content

The content of this course consists of underwater archeology terminology, underwater excavation techniques, underwater research techniques, ancient shipwreck research, ancient boat typology, and maritime trade between distant regions.
