Course Goal / Objective

To teach all the students to design the optimal control systems in continous time and discrete time domains and to design control systems according to the predetermined performance specifications.

Course Content

Introduction. Calculus of Variations and Optimal Control. Linear Quadratic Optimal Control Systems. Discrete-Time Optimal Control Systems. Pontryagin Minimum Principle. Constrained Optimal Control Systems.
