Course Goal / Objective

To teach the fundamental principles of mechanics supported by various laboratory experiments

Course Content

Physics and measurement, Vectors, Motion in one dimension, Planar motion, Dynamics of particle, Workand energy, Linear Momentum and Collisions, Kinematics of rotations, Rotation ofa rigid object about a fixed axis. And also following lab. experiments will be done during semester; addition of forces on a force table, one dimensional uniform motion, motion with constant acceleration, projectile motion, to find the value ofgravitationalacceleration byvariousmethods, elasticand inelastic collisions, some demo experiments.
