Course Goal / Objective

This course aims to teach students basic economic concepts, economic thinking, and the functioning of the market mechanism. By covering topics such as supply and demand, price formation, consumer and producer behavior, market types, and macroeconomic indicators, comprehensive information on the discipline of economics will be provided.

Course Content

Introduction to economics and basic concepts, overview of microeconomics and macroeconomics, scarcity and choice problems, supply and demand analysis, market equilibrium and price mechanism, consumer behavior and utility theory, producer theory and cost analysis, competitive markets and monopolies, market failures and government intervention, economic growth and development, unemployment and inflation, money and banking system, international trade and globalization, economic policies and current economic issues.
