Course Goal / Objective

To teach engine modeling and simulation and to train the processes required for testing and modeling an engine, and finally to show how the processes follow each other.

Course Content

Test cell as a thermodynamic system, vibration and sound, test cell and control room design, ventilation and air conditioning, dynamometers and torque measurement, connecting the dynamometer to the engine, fuel measurement, combustion air and oil consumption, data acquisition, handling, post-test processing, engine calibration and matching, modeling and simulation fundamentals, introduction to modeling and simulation of internal combustion engines.
