Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to equip students with the essential knowledge and skills required for greenhouse design and management. The course aims to develop students' competencies in greenhouse planning, selection of construction materials, climate control systems, irrigation management, and automation. Furthermore, it aims to enable students to understand modern greenhouse technologies and sustainable agricultural practices, fostering their ability to create innovative solutions in this field.
Course Content
This course aims to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in greenhouse design and management. The content of the course includes the planning of greenhouse enterprises, technical calculations for greenhouses, selection of structural and covering materials, the impact of climatic factors on plant growth, summer and winter climate control techniques, internal greenhouse equipment, soilless culture systems, irrigation management, and automation systems. Students will be supported by both theoretical knowledge and practical applications.
Course Precondition
The prerequisite for this course is the successful completion of the "Soil-Plant-Water Relationships" course. This course will provide students with the fundamental knowledge necessary for greenhouse design and management.
