Course Goal / Objective
To acquaint students with nature of science, development of scientific thinking and philosophy of science.
Course Content
Definition of science: aims, features, development and phases. History of science: Philosophy ofScience, philosophical ideas, the effects of philosophical ideas on scientific development, history of invention. Epistemology, ontology: Nature of scientific concept, scientific knowledge and itsfeatures, existence concept. Scientific methods: Scientific thinking, Scientific inquiry. Science and society: Sociology ofScience and Anthropology of Science, scientific ethic, the examplesin history of science
