Course Goal / Objective

The objective of this course is to equip students with a strong foundation in video editing, integrating theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice. By the end of the course, students will be able to effectively utilize editing software, construct coherent visual narratives, and refine their technical and creative skills through guided exercises and project-based learning. The course also aims to develop students' ability to critically assess editing choices, recognize different stylistic approaches, and create professional-quality video content tailored to various media formats.

Course Content

This course provides a comprehensive overview of video editing techniques and workflows, covering editing processes in various media formats, including cinema, documentary, and advertising. Integrating both theoretical and practical components, the course enables students to develop their editing skills using industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. Key principles such as continuity editing, rhythm, pacing, color correction, and sound synchronization are explored. Through guided projects and hands-on exercises, students will apply fundamental and advanced editing techniques to real-world scenarios.

Course Precondition

1. For this course, the student must have a personal portable computer. 2. For this course, the student must have video editing software.
