Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to gain proficiency in sheet metal and piping to be able to do piping work in buildings.

Course Content

Hand tools used in the atelier environment, measuring and control tools, wrenches, benches and machines used in air conditioning and cooling, clamped joint, riveted joint, welding processes (Electric arc welding, TIG welding, MIG welding, electrodes, oxy-acetylene welding, welding wires), soldering, steel pipes (Black and galvanized), tools and machines used in steel pipe work, black steel pipe fittings, pipe clamps, hangers and consoles, steel pipe laying and wall transition, tools used in wall transition, drilling and crushing tools, corrosion, freezing, noise, perspiration, aesthetics, accessibility, water hammer, slope, testing the installation, installation of copper and aluminum pipes, cutting pipes, reaming, cupping, countersinking, bending pipes on copper and aluminum pipes, soft soldering, brazing, cleaning before soldering, soldering irons, soldering iron-free devices, special soldering devices, cleaning during soldering, flux, cleaning after soldering, capillary rise, additional wires used in brazing, heating types in brazing, polypropylene (PP) pipes and its types, pipe fittings (Threaded / unthreaded), fusion welding, polyethylene (PE-X) pipes and types, pipe fittings, union-ring joints, press joints, ALPEX pipes, PVC pipes and types, PVC pipe fittings, testing the waste water system.
