Course Goal / Objective

The aim of the course is to introduce the concept of journalism in all its aspects and to provide students with sufficient background in the field. In this framework, it is aimed to introduce the journalism ecosystem and to gain practical skills that students can benefit from in the processes of news writing, criticism and development.

Course Content

The course covers news values, news types, news characteristics, news pyramids, news sources, news gathering and writing for newspapers, television and internet. At the same time, the forms of news production and consumption will be criticized and forms of journalism will be evaluated.
