Course Goal / Objective
To teach methods for the production methods of microfluidic systems. To be able to analyze the size at micron scale. To teach the forces that cause motion at the micro scale. To teach the importance and applications of surface effects, wettability and capillarity. To present some methods for the transport of biochemical species.
Course Content
Basic concepts of fluid flow and related equations. Manufacturing techniques for microfluidic systems, Surface Tension, Wettability, Capillarity. Electrokinetic Applications to Microfluidic Systems. Transport of Biochemical Species
