Course Goal / Objective
The main objective of the course is to teach the operation of robotic structures used in the rehabilitation of neuro-muscular diseases, treatment methods and basic design criteria with various applications.
Course Content
Introduction to rehabilitation. Study of human neuromuscular structure. Analysis of musculoskeletal mechanics and models. Proprioceptive sensors, motor neurons and neural circuits. Neuro-plasticity and motor skill learning. Rehabilitation and neuro-rehabilitation treatment processes. Devices and structures used in rehabilitation treatments. Mechatronic orthoses and robots in rehabilitation. Kinematic analysis of rehabilitation robots. Dynamic analysis of rehabilitation robots. Control structures of rehabilitation robots. Human-robot interaction interfaces in rehabilitation. Examination of treatment robots applications.
