Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to provide students with up-to-date information on the use of postbiotics and parabiotics in food cosmetics pharmaceutical industry, production and R&D studies and scientific research.
Course Content
-Parabiotics include a combination of probiotics (health-beneficial bacteria) as well as prebiotics (ingredients that promote the nutrition of these bacteria). Postbiotics, on the other hand, are metabolic products resulting from the fermentation or processing of probiotic bacteria. The use of postbiotics involves an alternative approach to obtaining the benefits of probiotics or improving the digestive system. The aim of this course is to provide information about biotechnology, production, purification and optimization of parabiotics and postbiotics to increase their potential health benefits, sustainable intestinal health and evaluation methods in terms of industrial food-health sector.
