Course Goal / Objective
To provide information about the properties, uses and economic potential of plant species and plant products that have economic and industrial potential due to their effects on human life and multiple roles.
Course Content
Historical process and basic concepts and definitions. What is economics and economic botany? Medicinal plants and history of medicinal plants. Stimulating plants. Spice plants. Industrial plants. Food plants. Geophytes that have economic value and are exported. Forest secondary products. Contributions of plants to the economy.
