Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to develop a working understanding of the foundations of biodegradable polymeric materials.

Course Content

Natural and synthetic biodegradable polymers, basic terms, biodegradation mechanisms, changes on the chemical and physical properties, polymer structure-property relationships for biodegradation, biomedical applications.
