Course Goal / Objective

By the end of this course, students will be able to: Information Literacy: Access, evaluate, and utilize information from a variety of sources. Media Literacy: Critically analyze media and effectively use different media forms. Technology Literacy: Use digital tools and platforms for communication, collaboration, and content creation. Critical Thinking: Analyze, synthesize, and evaluate information to solve problems and make informed decisions. Problem-Solving: Collaboratively identify, analyze, and generate solutions to complex problems. Collaboration: Communicate and work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Communication: Express ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively in both oral and written forms. Cultural Awareness: Demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences and communicate effectively in a global society. Self-Management: Manage learning, set goals, and use time effectively.

Course Content

Module 1: Communicating in the Digital World Online Communication Tools: Utilize various online communication tools, such as social media platforms, forums, blogs, and email, to communicate effectively. Digital Content Creation: Create and share various forms of digital content, including blog posts, videos, podcasts, and presentations. Information Verification: Evaluate the reliability of online information and identify credible sources. Digital Ethics: Adhere to ethical guidelines and safety protocols in online communication. Module 2: Global Citizenship and Intercultural Communication Cultural Differences: Understand the communication styles, values, and beliefs of people from diverse cultures. Intercultural Interaction: Interact effectively with people from different cultures, demonstrating respect for cultural differences and utilizing effective communication strategies. Global Issues: Learn about global issues and collaborate to find solutions. Language and Identity: Understand the role of language in identity formation and its importance in intercultural communication. Module 3: Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Critical Thinking Skills: Develop skills in analyzing, interpreting, evaluating, and synthesizing information. Problem-Solving Strategies: Develop skills in identifying, analyzing, generating solutions, and evaluating outcomes for complex problems.
