Course Goal / Objective

This course aims to provide theoretical instruction on experimental injury and regeneration processes of the peripheral nervous system. Students will discuss up-to-date information on the anatomical structure of nerve tissue, experimental models, functional evaluation methods, and regenerative agents. In doing so, they will gain a foundational background applicable to advanced academic research and literature reviews.

Course Content

This course theoretically examines experimental nerve injury models and the processes of nerve regeneration. Types of nerve injuries, functional evaluation methods, and histological and biochemical analyses are studied at a theoretical level. The effects of neurotrophic factors on nerve healing are discussed. Statistical analysis of experimental studies and scientific reporting processes are also covered.

Course Precondition

There are no prequisites for this course.

Resources

1. Current articles and online resources 2. Dere Anatomi Atlası ve Ders Kitabı 3. Dere Atlaslı Nöroanatomi ve Fonksiyonel Nöroloji

Notes

Additional readings will be provided during the course.
