Course Goal / Objective
To demonstrate the application of statistical methods to the estimate of environmental parameters.
Course Content
Statistical methods, Use of statistical methods in satellite data, Sensors used in determining environmental parameters, Optical imagery satellites, Radar imagery satellites, Thermal imagery satellites, Principal component analysis (PCA), Band combinations, Applications, Determination of oil spills.
