Course Goal / Objective

To understand and analyze advanced physiological adaptation mechanisms to exercise.

Course Content

Acute and chronic exercise adaptations; advanced mechanisms in cardiovascular, metabolic, and neuromuscular systems.

Course Precondition

Knowledge of exercise physiology and basic human physiology.

Resources

Up-to-date lecture notes and ACSM's Guidelines for Exercise Testing and Prescription.

Notes

Physiology of Sport and Exercise, Exercise Physiology: Energy, Nutrition, and Human Performance, NSCA's Essentials of Strength Training and Conditioning and current scientific articles.
