Course Goal / Objective
To teach the structure and functions of the immune system and the basic principles of immunology; to enable the interpretation of immune responses developed in domestic animals in various situations (disease, vaccination); and to provide skills in applying and interpreting serological tests for the purpose of diagnosing diseases and measuring vaccine immunity.
Course Content
To teach immunological topics fundamentally and practically: Basic immunological knowledge, Natural immunity, Acquired immunity, Basic structure of antigens and antibodies, Antigen/antibody reactions, Cells and organs involved in the immune system, Cellular and humoral immune systems and cellular and humoral elements involved in these systems, Complement system, Cytokines, HSE (Hemolytic Acidity) Antigens (HLA-System)
