Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to examine the use of emerging technologies in agriculture and introduce smart farming applications. Providing students with knowledge of digital agriculture technologies and teaching basic application areas.
Course Content
Introduction to wireless communication technologies used in digital agriculture; examination of digital transformation and smart farming applications; introduction to sensors, hardware, and technologies required for smart agriculture; reducing fertilizer and pesticide use through digital techniques, ensuring environmental sustainability and efficient production; supporting data-driven decision-making in agriculture; overview of digital agriculture practices in Türkiye and worldwide.
