Course Goal / Objective
To introduce agricultural pest control methods; to provide knowledge on properties, usage areas and environmental effects of pesticides; and to understand the concept of integrated pest management.
Course Content
Methods used in the control of agricultural pests and diseases; chemical, biological, cultural, physical and integrated pest management approaches; classification of pesticides, modes of action, application methods and environmental effects; pesticide resistance and its management.
