Course Goal / Objective

Explore the boundaries of wearable art and integrate environmental sustainability with artistic expression. Introduce students to traditional and innovative materials, enhancing their skills in creating ethical and environmentally friendly artworks. Gain in-depth knowledge in material information, design processes, and application techniques. Develop the ability to critique art and express their own artistic visions through wearable projects. By combining art and sustainability, empower students to become aware of their social and environmental responsibilities and enable them to produce innovative solutions in this area.

Course Content

The aim is to teach students how to integrate environmental sustainability principles while creating wearable art pieces. The course will focus on the selection of sustainable materials, ethical sourcing, innovative design processes, and environmentally friendly application techniques. Students will learn both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in depth, while having the opportunity to plan and execute their own wearable art projects. Throughout the course, the environmental impacts of art and design will be discussed, exploring the roles of artists in society and the power of artistic expression. This course aims to provide students with a comprehensive perspective on sustainable artistic practices, nurturing them as conscious and innovative individuals in this field.
