Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to provide graduate students in art and design with a critical perspective on what art is, how it is interpreted, and how it has been understood across different periods, by examining the historical development of artistic thought through key texts. Within the scope of the course, students are expected to read and analyze texts ranging from Plato to modern and contemporary thinkers, compare different theoretical approaches to the concept of art, and relate these approaches to their own artistic practices.
Course Content
