Course Goal / Objective

The main objective of this course is to provide students with information about culture, communication, and intercultural communication, and to raise their awareness of intercultural differences and similarities. Offering solutions to intercultural communication problems and equipping students with intercultural communication competence are among the aims of this course. Furthermore, it aims to discuss the importance of intercultural communication in teaching Turkish as a foreign language.

Course Content

Culture, communication, intercultural communication, theories of intercultural communication, barriers to intercultural communication, intercultural communication competence, theories of intercultural education, and teaching Turkish as a foreign language constitute the subject matter of this course.
