Course Goal / Objective
To teach the fundamental concepts of graphic design and the beginner-level use of Adobe Photoshop, a raster-based image editing software. The course aims to enable students to perform basic image editing, photo retouching, and simple graphic design tasks.
Course Content
Basic concepts of digital imaging (pixel, resolution, color depth), differences between raster and vector graphics, common image file formats (JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, PSD), color models (RGB, CMYK), introduction to the Photoshop interface and fundamental tools, layer management, selection tools, color adjustments, and basic filter applications.
Course Precondition
There are no prerequisites for this course. Basic computer literacy is recommended.
