Course Goal / Objective

This course aims to evaluate forensic scientific methods (such as biometric techniques, DNA analysis, and digital forensics) and the process within the framework of constitutional state principles. It focuses on analyzing the constitutional limits in the production, presentation, and judicial processes of scientific evidence, particularly in the context of the rule of law, the right to a fair trial, the presumption of innocence, the right to privacy, the protection of personal data, and algorithmic decision-making systems.

Course Content

This course covers topics at the intersection of Forensic Sciences and Law, discussing applications and challenges in forensic sciences within a constitutional state, and the implications of concepts related to the field from a Forensic Science perspective.
