Course Goal / Objective
The proposed course aims to develop students' skills in an integrated manner to match the Erasmus+ exam structure, which includes speaker matching, academic lecture note-taking, text cohesion/integrity analysis (Gapped Text), multiple matching analysis, writing an academic composition/paragraph of at least 250 words, and managing fluent oral interview processes before a jury. The course will also directly contribute to our university's internationalisation goals by increasing students' awareness of intercultural communication and exam success.
Course Content
To strategically prepare students, with a dedicated focus on disadvantaged students, students with disabilities, and those with special educational needs (functional limitations), for the current written and oral session formats (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking) of the Erasmus+ Foreign Language Exam. The course aims to develop test-taking techniques for specific question types and to enhance academic writing, argumentation, presentation skills, and effective oral communication competencies before a jury. In alignment with the inclusivity and equal opportunity principles of the Erasmus+ program, a core objective of this course is to break down language barriers for students with special needs, thereby directly boosting the institutional data and overall international mobility participation rates of outgoing students with disabilities from our university.
