General Information

In the previous periods, the program that provides graduate education within the department of primary education; as a science education began to accept students for the first time in the fall semester of 2017-2018. There are 4 professors, 1 associate professor and 2 faculty members in science education. The branch of science is carrying out highly qualified academic and scientific studies in its field. Through this program, students develop their skills to participate in scientific activities and share their results with the scientific community.

The program, which is shaped around the science education discipline, offers a holistic education around the theoretical foundations of the science teaching discipline, the nature of science, effective science education and research methods, and helps students to turn to different fields of science education with elective courses. Science Education Master's Program is carried out according to Çukurova University Graduate Education Regulations. In order to graduate from the program, candidates must be successful in at least 7 credit courses, specialization courses, seminar course and thesis work, with a total of not less than 21 credits.

Goals

The aim of this program is to educate teachers who aim to develop the professional knowledge and skills of science teachers and make scientific researches.

Objectives

To be able to produce complex solutions that cannot be foreseen in applications related to science education by developing new strategic approaches and taking responsibility To be able to evaluate advanced knowledge and skills related to science education with critical thinking and to direct learning To be able to use information about science education, problem solving or implementation skills in interdisciplinary studies Implemeting the modern approaches required by the era when planning the science learning process To be able to control and evaluate social, scientific, cultural and ethical values in the stages of collecting, interpreting, applying and announcing data about science education. To be able to present their researches in science education on national and international platforms To be able to use the theoretical knowledge about science to understand, interpret and explain daily events To be aware of the responsibility and ethical values required by the teaching profession

Specific Admission Requirements

Application Requirements: 1) To provide at least one of the conditions listed below a. To have a Bachelor of Education degree or to be at the graduation stage. However, the students applying at the graduation stage must submit their graduation certificate before the exam date. b. To have pedagogical formation certificate for the candidates who graduated from other faculties. c. To have a master's degree with a thesis / non-thesis pedagogical formation for candidates who graduated from other faculties. D. Being a teacher in the schools of the Ministry of National Education  2) If you have at least 55 standard points from ALES or ALES substitute, you must have equivalent base score from the GMAT, GRE and similar exams determined by the higher education institution. 3) There is no foreign language requirement to apply to the program.

They can also work in the fields of teaching technology in the private sector. In addition, graduates who continue their master's and doctoral studies can also work as lecturers in universities.
